Gander Wins Opener, Eagles Lose Second Straight

The Eagles opened the scoring in the 1st period with a goal by Dillon Duffett, his first of the year. Jeffrey Fewer put the Eagles up 2-0 with a PP goal early in the 2nd period, but it was all Gander Concordes after this. The Eagles landed into penalty trouble late in the period, and the Concordes responded with three quick goals from Kyle Corkery, Devin Edwards, and Casey Hancock. The scoring continued in the 3rd period for Gander as Austin Oram, Greg Drover, and Jake Abbott found the back of the net. Mackenzie Landry picked up the win for Gander, while Michael Hurdle suffered the loss for the Eagles. These two teams meet up again on December 9th, back in Gander.
